Steffen Meier is a Rechtsanwalt with more than fifteen years of dedicated experience in insolvency and restructuring law. He advises companies in distress as well as creditors, investors and directors and officers in complex distress scenarios. As a litigator, Steffen Meier also handles the pursuit and the defence of claims arising primarily under insolvency law. Before founding elvenstein he worked at Wellensiek, Heublein Müller, White & Case and most recently in his own practice.
His advisory matters range from out-of-court restructuring through debtor-in-possession proceedings (Eigenverwaltung) and protective shield proceedings (Schutzschirmverfahren) to restructurings under the StaRUG, insolvency plans and distressed M&A transactions.
He holds an LL.M. from the University of Michigan.
